Chocolate Fountain

I help with planning activities for the women in our church (see Relief Society for more information) And because it was May, and things seem to be crazy busy for everyone, we did this...

with this...
And I forgot to take a picture when it was all set up and pretty, but trust me, when you have a chocolate fountain, no one cares what the display looks like!  See you next time.  Kelly

P.S.  If you are local to Mesa, AZ- We bought the yummiest strawberries at Superstition Ranch Market for just .50 a pound- I think that deal is good through Saturday!

Family Night With The Biggs

It's always a blast when they all come home!  Family night started out like many others with a BBQ and swimming.  But then... The whipped cream came out...

Meanwhile, Little Biggs 6 was in the bathroom taking care of not one tooth...
 But two!

They've been hanging on by a thread for a few days now, but she swore they weren't ready.  That was until we had corn on the cob!  I'd say it was a Family night for the record books!  I'm so grateful for these crazy girls, our new sons in laws and my Mr. Right!  See you next time.  Kelly.

NAU Graduation

It's been quite a semester for Little Biggs 2.  She's managed to work 2 jobs, get engaged, then married and take a full load of online classes so she can graduate from Northern Arizona University...

We are so proud of our graduate!

Hopefully life will settle down a bit for her now.  The wedding is done, school is complete (for now anyway) and she's traded in her two jobs for one full time salaried position that she starts on Monday!  This girl will be unstoppable!  We're grateful to have her as our daughter!

Shopping Day

Went shopping at Old Brick House Vintage Market today- they never disappoint!

It may seem a bit off topic, but I think it's really important to have things around that remind us of our goals or dreams. (Here's where I get back on topic and it all makes sense) I happened to find 3 really sweet items at Old Brick House that help me do just that...

Two little (we'll call them French teacup) Bulldogs and a farm plate.  I seriously dream about owning a French teacup bulldog

How could you not be happy to wake up to this?  I also dream about having a farm.  Not so much about having animals as having a gorgeous barn where we could host weddings and events.  Something simple like this...

Or this...
Someday!  Thank you Old Brick House Vintage Market for helping me dream.  See you next time.  Kelly

Peach Season

Peach season has come a little early this year in Arizona, which is actually a good thing.  Typically our peaches are ready the last week in May- which is typically when we're on vacation.  I always say I'll pick them when we get back but in just a few short days the birds have them devoured.  This year Little Biggs 5 has taken charge and has been bringing a handful or two in each day.  Then finally after some 90 plus degree days she hit the mother load!  Enough peaches for 3 batches of jam...

And the most delicious fresh peach cobbler...

Hopefully we can get one more round this weekend before the birds take over.  See you next time.  Kelly

A Woodland Wedding

What a whirlwind weekend! Little Biggs 2 got married on Cinco de Mayo! We wont' have photos from the photographer for a few weeks so my amateur iPhone shots will have to do...

Little Biggs 2 likes things simple and organic, so a woodland theme seemed appropriate.  We used massive tree stumps as the supports for our tables.  Each stump weighs around 200lbs, but they turned out gorgeous!  The sign with their name was custom made by Tobler Timber and is burned into the wood!

Centerpieces were burlap and lace runners with moss toppers and massive stumps with the centers drilled out to hold a mason jar with babies breath.

Little Biggs 1 made this gorgeous Raspberry Lemon naked cake!  We actually found the burlap flowers at a garage sale!  We also had a cookie bar with 7 varieties of homemade cookies (Thank you friends!)

For the first hour guests enjoyed live music from the beautiful and talented Tori Smith!

Little Biggs 2 didn't want a traditional sign-in book, so we picked up this awesome globe for $5 at a garage sale! (above photo was taken at our indoor Prescott reception)

The venue was our neighbors front yard.  Years ago he moved this sweet historic home to this property.  With the beautiful surroundings it didn't take much decorating to get the look we were after.

Here's the happy couple!  What a gorgeous pair they are!

I didn't end up with any photos of the Costa Vida inspired food or the Mariachis!  Hopefully our photographer caught all the details.  Now we're half way there- Little Biggs 1, 2, and 3 have tied the knot.  I think we'll get a bit of a break since Little Biggs 4 is just graduating high school (let's hope so anyway)  See you next time.  Kelly

P.S.  We will be selling the four woodland tables as well as many of the accent stumps used for the dance floor.  Centerpiece stumps are available to rent.  Just send me an email if interested.  kkbiggs@hotmail.com

Big Announcement!

Last week I promised a big announcement for today.  So here goes...

It's official!  We're getting shop space at Marketplace 42 in Gilbert, Arizona.   We are so excited to provide our clients with the opportunity to purchase our vintage, antique and handmade home decor items year round!  The shop is open weekly, Tuesday thru Saturday from 10-6.

Marketplace 42 is home to more than 50 different vendors (with plans to grow to 80).  It's a one stop shop offering the finest in home decor and fashion.   The store is set up boutique style, meaning everyone's items are mixed together (no choppy booths or partitions). However, A Little Biggs of Everything will have our own 10x10 corner with a monthly theme and fresh merchandise each week! Here's a sneak peek at a few items I've been getting ready...

Any guesses what this months theme is? (I know I haven't given you much to go on)  Does this help?

You've either got it, or I've totally confused you!   The theme for January is...

What's Farmhouse you ask?  Think Fixer Upper!  Neutral, chippy, farm animals, simple and classic.  I can't wait to show you everything we've been gathering and making!  If you're local and want to get first dibs on our new merchandise I'd recommend coming first thing Saturday!  Address is 825 South Cooper Road Suite B3 Gilbert, AZ 85233.  Marketplace 42 is located on the Southeast corner of Cooper and Elliot- I'll be posting lots of pics after we get all set up on Friday!
