Frequently Asked Questions:

1.  What is a recommended value for my swap items.
It's difficult to place a value on the swap items.  Handmade items may not cost much to make but have a large resell value.  Items found at thrift stores and garage sales may also have little cost but big value. Be sure you donate items that are in good condition (although we all love chippy antique finds). You should donate items that you no longer need or love so you're not disappointed with the swap.
2.  What if I don't find any items I want at the swap.  Although there is no guarantee that you will find items you love, we hope you will have an enjoyable evening with good food, new friends and a special attendance gift.
3.  Can I donate more than 3 items?  If you would like to donate more than 3 items, or items that do not fit in the home decor category, we will have a "freecycle" area.  Anyone who wants a freecycle item will attach a clothes pin with their name onto the item.  If there's  more than 1 clothes pin attached to a freecycle item we will throw all of the clothes pins in a jar and draw a winner.
4.  What if I register and donate items and then am unable to attend.  Unfortunately, there are no refunds or return of donated items.
5. How many participants will be swapping? For the spring home decor swap there are 30  spots available.
6.  How do I register?  Email kkbiggs@hotmail.com to place your name on the list and receive an official registration time.

We are so excited for this event and hope it can become A Little Biggs of Everything tradition.  If you have additional questions or would like to register email kkbiggs@hotmail.com.

A Candy Themed Wedding

What a thrill its been to be the wedding planner for my daughter's best friend, Hayley.  Since my daughter is out of the country serving a mission in Chile, it was up to me and my family to make this a special event.

It all began 5 years ago when Hayley and Lane met, while Sophomores in High School.  Lane noticed Hayley (a major candy fan!) would eat pixie stixs in class.  This inspired him to create a comic strip titled, "Laffy Taffy Man and Pixie Stix Girl"  This certainly caught Hayley's attention and after high school graduation, Lane serving a 2 year mission in Korea and Hayley graduating from college in Virginia- they sealed the deal in the Mesa, Arizona Temple.  Needless to say Hayley requested a candy themed wedding reception.  Here are a few pictures from the event...

Guests were greeted with the theme at the entry, "Love Is Sweet"
This 6' tall chalkboard door shares all the details of this couples wonderfully sweet love story.
Tables were decorated with lime green and navy blue polka dot runners, wood risers displaying a picture of the couple, a customed printed doiley with the couples theme and two jars of mints!
The centerpiece of the room was a custom 10' tall tree that Mr. Right and the Biggs gang built, paper mached, painted and adorned with silk plants.
This vintage bike was decked out in the couples Lime green and navy colors and customized with their names in vinyl.
Here's a closer look at the centerpieces.
We created a wedding video to show the couple growing up and some fun photos from their High School dates.
There were 4 candy stations each telling the couples story.  This one displays a few copies of Lane's comic strip and offered guests green laffy taffy and blue pixie stixs.
For food, the bride and grooms favorite:  Papa John's pizza and wings.
Once outside guests are directed to the many choices:  Pizza & Wings, Drinks (Grinch floats and ice water), Smores Bar, Popcorn Bar and of course more candy!

Here's another candy station featuring the couples Senior Prom picture and blue and green gumballs.

Another candy station with sour apple and blueberry candy sticks.
A favorite of the night was the Smore's station...
Guests grabbed a stick and marshmallow for roasting...
and were able to choose from several different types of chocolates:  Hersheys milk, Hershey's cookies and cream, Almond Joy, Reeses Cups and Ghiradelli mint, carmel or raspberry squares!

Here's the happy couple in front of the 8' reception line backdrop.  It was adorned with over 300 felt circles sewn into garlands. The brides bouquet is made from custom clay lollipops.  Little Biggs 1 handcrafted them when we discovered we couldn't buy a true Navy blue colored sucker in the size we needed.    Boutineers and corsages were all made from real lollipops adorned with ribbon, tulle and broach centers.

First dance!

Guests were given bubbles to help send off this sweet couple...

What a privilege it was to be a part of this magical event!   See You Next Time.  Kelly.
